- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab
- Unit will accept first-time travelers
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
- At least one of the following: RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Scrubbing and monitoring procedures
- PA Line placement and telemetry
- Structural heart procedures and TAVR experience
- Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Balloon angioplasty
- PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
- Stenting
- Thrombectomy
- Impella insertion
- Left and Right heart catheterization
- Rotablator procedures
- Circulation of procedures
- IV Starts
- Conscious sedation
- Watchman Procedures
- Septal Closure
- Ablations
- Coil Embolization
- Filter Placement
The Cath Lab performs complex procedures including, but not limited to:
- Complex PCI
- Laser atherectomy
- Peripheral vascular interventions
- PFO/ASD closures
- EKOS procedures
Patient Ratios: 1:3 during daytime shifts (Monday - Friday)
Call required:
One day per week and one weekend per month, subject to fluctuation based on unit needs.
- 40-hour work weeks available
- Floating may be required but will be rare, primarily to the EP unit
- Unit has a patient holding area within the Cath Lab
