Opportunity OverviewMontgomery Counseling Group is seeking a licensed, bilingual therapist to join the practice as an independent contractor (1099). This is not an employee position and does not include salary, wages, or employee benefits. Contractors set their own schedules within agreed‑upon parameters and maintain flexibility to conduct certain work remotely.
This opportunity is well‑suited to a licensed clinician who is building or expanding a caseload, values clinical autonomy, and is looking to affiliate with an established, trauma‑informed practice.
Please note the following key distinctions of this engagement:
Compensation is structured on a 1099 basis; contractors are responsible for their own taxes
No employer‑sponsored benefits are included (health insurance, PTO, retirement)
You will operate as an independent professional affiliated with the practice
Schedule flexibility is part of the arrangement, within agreed clinical commitments
Scope of Services- Individual and group therapy sessions
- Client assessments
- Treatment planning and goal setting
- Case documentation in accordance with practice standards
Professional fluency in English and Spanish is required for this role, as the practice serves a Spanish‑speaking client population, and effective therapeutic care depends on direct linguistic communication
Active license or certification in counseling, social work, or a related field at the Associate's level or above
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
Experience with trauma therapy, couples and family therapy, or play therapy preferred
Demonstrated competence working with diverse populations
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage an independent caseload
