Talent Acquisition Specialist (Creative Design)

ABOUT

THE ROLE

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in attracting, hiring, and onboarding top talent to support both our seasonal and year-round workforce needs. This position manages the full-cycle recruiting process, from sourcing and screening candidates to facilitating onboarding and ensuring a positive new-hire experience as well as managing the company’s work visa program. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also develop and maintain talent pipelines for critical roles, partner with schools and community organizations to build long-term recruiting channels and provide insights to hiring managers on market trends and candidate availability.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS Recruiting & Hiring
  • Manage the full cycle recruiting process for assigned roles (hourly and salaried).
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and interview plans.
  • Post jobs and manage applicant flow using the company’s Applicant Tracking System, ensuring statuses are accurate and up to date.
  • Oversee ATS data to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  • Source candidates via job boards, social media, career fairs, and proactive headhunting.
  • Screen, interview, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and ensure professional, positive candidate experience.
  • Monitor and interpret recruiting analytics to drive continuous improvement in time-to-fill, sourcing effectiveness, and overall pipeline quality.
  • Manage the required open recruitment steps (job orders, ads, internal postings) for the company’s H2B and other immigrant visa program in accordance with DOL regulations and maintain documentation for audits.
  • Develop and execute recruitment event strategies, including career fairs and community partnerships, to build candidate pipelines and increase brand visibility.
Onboarding & New Hire Experience
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR teams to deliver a consistent and engaging new hire experience aligned with company culture and values.
  • Coordinate pre-employment steps: background checks, drug screens, Motor Vehicle Reports, etc.
  • Prepare offer letters and communicate onboarding requirements to new hires.
  • Schedule and facilitate Day 1 onboarding activities, including orientation sessions and company culture introductions.
  • Collect and validate new-hire documents (tax forms, direct deposit, I-9 Verification, etc.) using the company’s HRIS system.
  • Partner with HR, Safety, and Operations to ensure employees are equipped with necessary PPE, equipment, and training schedules.
  • Follow up with new hires at key milestones (30/60/90 days) to assess engagement and gather feedback.
  • Coordinate arrival, housing, transportation, and orientation for H-2B workers, ensuring a smooth transition into the workplace.
  • Design and continuously improve onboarding programs that enhance new hire engagement, retention, and early performance outcomes.
Talent Pipeline Development
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, trade schools, and community organizations to support campus and local recruiting efforts.
  • Create and rollout development plans for incoming and existing staff for their perspective regions.
  • Support career fair planning, on-site hiring events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain an evergreen pipeline of key roles (e.g., Production Managers, Account Managers, Irrigation Technicians).
  • Partner with the HR team to develop creative sourcing campaigns, advertising strategies, and referral programs.
Collaboration & Compliance
  • Work closely with immigration attorneys or H-2B and other immigrant visa agents to ensure accurate and timely filing of applications, including Prevailing Wage Determinations and Labor Certification.
  • Work closely with other HR team members to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
