The primary purpose of this position is to provide production troubleshooting, operational support, and system subject matter expertise for the functional users of Banner HR (HR/Payroll/Position Control modules) and other ancillary systems. This includes managing system integrations and 3rd party vendor relationships, researching and resolving problems, and providing systems analysis and project management for implementations and process improvements.
Responsibilities- Provide production troubleshooting and operational support for all HR/Payroll systems and third‑party interfaces including Banner HR, compensation, benefits, payroll, position control modules;
People Admin, recruiting, position & performance management;
Law Logix; and HR/Payroll data feeds to other university or external systems. - Lead or contribute to HR/Payroll projects: recommend solutions, gather and document requirements for new solutions, test solutions and system configuration changes, establish requirements and data mapping for reports and interfaces, and perform data clean‑up as needed.
- Prioritize projects, write requirements, submit JIRA requests, and coordinate testing and implementation of new jobs and processes.
- Develop reports and fulfill data requests for HR/Payroll/Position control data; coordinate development and testing with departmental reporting team members; serve as liaison between report developers and campus partners.
- Complete testing for Banner HR system upgrades, patches, or configuration changes.
- Write and maintain system requirements, specifications, and process documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology related field from an accredited institution.
- Five years of experience in business systems analysis (or equivalent year‑for‑year substitution).
- 12 semester hours in programming (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Banner HR/Payroll processing and technical support to HR or Payroll departments.
- Ability to recommend and implement technology solutions for HR related business problems.
