Human Resources Manager Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager oversees all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role supports business objectives by managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, benefits administration, and organizational development initiatives. The HR Manager serves as a strategic partner to leadership while ensuring a positive and compliant workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and workforce planning
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Oversee performance management systems and annual review processes
  • Lead training, development, and succession planning initiatives
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
  • Manage payroll coordination and HRIS systems
  • Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports for senior management
  • Foster employee engagement and organizational culture initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience managing employee relations and performance management processes
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in HR or related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
  • Experience in strategic workforce planning
  • Experience managing multi-site or remote teams
