Job Summary

As the Vice President of Human Resources, you will partner closely with the executive team to design, develop, and implement people strategies that support the organization’s long‑term goals. This role serves as a strategic and tactical advisor to senior leadership—championing excellence in people practices, driving operational alignment, and fostering a high‑performance culture. You will collaborate across HR and business functions to support growth, optimize processes, and strengthen organizational capability.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Executive Leadership to shape and execute the company’s vision and strategic direction
  • Serve as a senior advisor to the CEO and leadership team on all people‑related matters
  • Collaborate with HR subject matter experts to develop aligned, business‑focused solutions
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals and manage risk
  • Align HR policies, practices, and systems with long‑range objectives
  • Support sales presentations and client retention efforts
  • Lead initiatives focused on equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Provide strategic guidance on employee relations and workforce practices
  • Re‑engineer HR processes to improve efficiency and support business operations
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and HR best practices
  • Evaluate HR programs, operations, and policy effectiveness
  • Present HR metrics, analytics, and KPIs to the CEO
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and key stakeholders
  • Coach senior leaders to enhance leadership effectiveness and executive presence
  • Cultivate a high‑performing, values‑based culture
  • Serve as a senior member of the Compass Group North America People Leadership Team
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple HR functions
  • Experience working in unionized environments (required), with exposure to day‑to‑day labor relations matters
  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and financial understanding
  • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders and strengthen executive presence
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
