Primary Functions: Collaborate with leaders to identify and assess employee learning and development needs. Design, create, write, and deliver/facilitate employee training programs while effectively utilizing tools to teach other employees how to recognize member needs for products and service, generate member referrals, and promote the Skyla brand. Maintain and update training materials to reflect current products, processes, procedures, policies, and programs.

Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and serve as a role model for the Culture and Core Values of the Credit Union while focusing on the mission and vision. Additionally, this position focuses on the growth and development of employees using a variety of methods both in class and in on-the-job settings.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess employee training and development needs through attendance at business meetings, staff meetings or through other formal or informal means, as appropriate.
  • Design, write and deliver employee training programs for classroom and on-the job training that supports the credit union’s culture and strategic goals.
  • Establish and promote an adult-learning environment, facilitating both in-class and on the job comprehensive training for new hires, product knowledge, sales and service, training refreshers for all employees using a variety of delivery methods.
  • Administer assessments, collect, and record results during and following training to validate training effectiveness and trainee proficiency levels.
  • Maintain and update training materials to reflect current products, policies, procedures, and programs as needed.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of core services and department specific procedures including Symitar, Image Center, Synapsys, Card Wizard, etc…
  • Ensure performance of self and trainee follows all current policy guidelines during training process.
  • Meet compliance and audit standards by minimizing documentation and error rates while maintaining the integrity and privacy of member information and help others minimize error rates.
  • Track and report results of training programs to key stakeholders and business partners.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and committees as required.
  • Demonstrate and model the credit union’s Culture, Core Values, Mission, and Vision daily.
  • Actively participate in developing an annual training plan and execute the plan timely.
  • Continually improve training effectiveness by researching and developing new techniques, programs, and industry trends. Be open to learning new processes.
  • Exhibit and maintain a thorough knowledge of the credit union’s products and services.
  • Remain abreast of changes in credit union policy, procedure, as well as lending guidelines and willingly share knowledge with others.
  • Accurately and consistently conduct testing of new processes (JIRA Tickets) to create comprehensive training materials. Provide feedback on testing as needed and maintain or present testing and training information on new processes or procedures as needed at informal and formal meetings.
  • Identify and provide recommendations for process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain effective positive working relationships with others throughout the organization.
  • Attend, engage, and actively participate in department, organization, and committee meetings.
  • Provide assessments, collect, and record results during and following training to validate training effectiveness and trainee proficiency.
  • Maintain confidentiality of promotions, transfers, terminations, and other Human Resource information that Learning and Development are privy to.
  • Comply with all Federal regulations, Credit Union policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy and the USA Patriot Act.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with the Credit Union's values, mission and vision.
