At least 20 years’ experience in information technology, with 2 years of financial services, and 10+ years of solution architecture experience.

• Significant experience defining the architectural vision and design for large, complex solutions, aligned with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology and platform choices for the Payments domain.
• Go‑to expert on microservices architecture and cloud migrations in the financial services industry.
• Describe solution intent/associated operating environment, evaluate system impacts, determine primary systems/subsystems and interfaces, assist with end‑to‑end solution design, define non‑functional requirements and architectural runway to support new epics/features and expansion opportunities.
• Ensure a solution is fit for purpose by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers, and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions.
• Apply best practices, standard templates, and architecture roadmaps; guide delivery teams in their adoption.
• Manage design governance, code and architecture decision papers, drawing on past development experience.
• Interpret business needs and apply innovative technology solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with remote teams across time zones.
• Support SW development processes (Agile and Waterfall).
• Liaise with and advise technology leadership and product owners in all aspects of application design and development.

• Deep understanding of DDD, distributed systems design, integration patterns, microservices architecture, cloud‑native, UML.
• Experience taking a product from inception through requirements, design, development, implementation readiness, and maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience designing and building high‑throughput, low‑latency applications using microservices, containers, distributed databases, Kafka.
• Proven ability to perform trade‑off analysis between scalability, security, resiliency, availability when designing distributed systems.
• Ensure adherence to architecture governance processes and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Technical leadership and exposure across a broad scale of tools, technologies, and architecture models.
• Manage multiple development designs and projects concurrently to meet required timelines.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP or other cloud service providers.
