Position type: Contract to hire (Hybrid)

Job Role: ETL Developer with Hadoop

Duration: 12 months

Must have: ETL, Informatica, Python and Hadoop

Primary Skill: Hadoop
Secondary Skill: Spark
Tertiary Skill: Python

• Support production (L3) in Treasury ADS by understanding designs, proposing high level and detailed design solutions, and offering out-of-box technical solutions for real-time production issues.
• Be flexible to work weekends at least once a month; comp-off possible on weekdays.
• Engage with information architecture and project teams to design solutions and propose new technology adoption ideas; collaborate with nearshore and offshore teammates in a matrix environment; coordinate with L2, development, testing, upstream and downstream partners.
• Perform BAU activities including analysis, coding, proposing improvements, and driving development activities offshore.
• Address production issues with quick turnaround; manage multiple projects concurrently with ownership and accountability for technical deliveries from offshore.
• Work with Business Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into high level and detailed designs; coordinate with Information Architecture for technical solutions.
• Identify technology gaps and propose viable solutions; work with development and QA during post-code development phases; ensure adherence to processes and quality standards.
• Understand Hadoop, Spark, Python and ecosystems like Impala, Hive, Oozie, Pig, Autosys and UNIX Shell Scripting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the application and deliver high-quality results.

• Strong working knowledge of ETL, database technologies, big data and data processing.
• 3+ years of experience developing ETL solutions using tools like Informatica, SSIS, etc.
• 3+ years of experience with Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Hive and Python.
• 3+ years of experience with the Cloudera Hadoop Ecosystem (Hadoop FS, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka, Hue, Oozie, Yarn, Sqoop, Flume).
• Experience on Autosys JIL scripting.
• Proficient Unix shell and Perl scripting.
• Experience troubleshooting data-related issues and processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data with Map Reduce.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases for data extraction applications.
• Experience with data movement and transformation technologies.
• Good to have Python or Scala programming.

• Understanding of the end-to-end process of the application.
• Understanding of upstream, database model, data processing and data distribution layers.
