Job Description
  • Client is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst with strong SQL skills and proven work ethic to support Market Counter party Risk Management initiatives.
  • This role is ideal for someone who can rationalize complex scenarios, work deeply with source and action data, and bridge the gap between technical execution and business decision‑making.
  • The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating in environments where data accuracy, auditability, and efficiency is critical.
  • Candidate will work closely with risk, technology, and leadership teams to deliver insights that directly support business and regulatory objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret source and action data to support counter party risk assessments.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Review and enhance audit log‑related code, improving efficiency, performance, and traceability.
  • Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and process inefficiencies; propose actionable solutions.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise insights for senior leadership.
  • Support scenario analysis and rationalization for risk‑related use cases.
  • Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to ensure analytical solutions align with real‑world business needs.
  • Document logic, assumptions, and methodologies to support audit and governance requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to rationalize scenarios and make data‑driven decisions.
  • Understanding of audit logs, data lineage, and control frameworks.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership.
  • High level of accountability, ownership, and work ethic.
  • Ability to think like a developer, while understanding and supporting business use cases.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in Capital Markets or Market Risk / Counter party Risk.
  • Familiarity with Tableau and/or Power BI.
  • Background in financial services or regulated environments.
