Job Description- Client is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst with strong SQL skills and proven work ethic to support Market Counter party Risk Management initiatives.
- This role is ideal for someone who can rationalize complex scenarios, work deeply with source and action data, and bridge the gap between technical execution and business decision‑making.
- The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating in environments where data accuracy, auditability, and efficiency is critical.
- Candidate will work closely with risk, technology, and leadership teams to deliver insights that directly support business and regulatory objectives.
- Analyze and interpret source and action data to support counter party risk assessments.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Review and enhance audit log‑related code, improving efficiency, performance, and traceability.
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and process inefficiencies; propose actionable solutions.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise insights for senior leadership.
- Support scenario analysis and rationalization for risk‑related use cases.
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to ensure analytical solutions align with real‑world business needs.
- Document logic, assumptions, and methodologies to support audit and governance requirements.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets.
- Demonstrated ability to rationalize scenarios and make data‑driven decisions.
- Understanding of audit logs, data lineage, and control frameworks.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership.
- High level of accountability, ownership, and work ethic.
- Ability to think like a developer, while understanding and supporting business use cases.
- Experience in Capital Markets or Market Risk / Counter party Risk.
- Familiarity with Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Background in financial services or regulated environments.
