Quality Assurance Consultant

Genesis
10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Jersey City, NJ, and Addison, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the testing strategy and processes are well-defined and continuously improved for the team or teams
• Establish a test and automation strategy, create common test frameworks, define and manage test processes including test data generation, defect management and reporting
• Create and optimize test processes including defect management and reporting
• Contribute to building quality into the SDLC using best practices and tools
• Create a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, and Backend, etc.)
• Create and optimize test automation frameworks and use of test automation tools
• Lead test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teams
• Ensure alignment and sign off for test cases from business and other stakeholders
• Optimize test suites employing techniques such risk-based testing
• Manage test execution and assist with resolving, communicating or escalating any issues that may result in test plan variance
• Contribute to test data management approach, processes and tools
• Condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments
• Report issues and defects along with the appropriate background information for review
• Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assists with resolving or escalating them as necessary
• Create and manage traceability
• Trace tests forwards/backwards through the development lifecycle and back to requirements
• Use testing tools and follow processes to complete testing in a given test environment and assist with fulfillment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments

Requirements:

• Oracle Exadata
• Automation Testing
• Able to handle multiple QA teams and cross functionality
• Strong ETL and Database Query building skills
• Experience with Test Automation, scripting and Regression testing
• Experience with defect management systems such as JIRA
• Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Working knowledge with QA automation tools such as Selenium, TOSCA, QTP
• Functional knowledge of Swift, payments domains
• ETL Testing
  - Oracle Exadata
• Test Automation – Java, Selenium
• Informatica, Hadoop, API

Desired skills:

• 8 or more years of hands on experience in reference data space, especially for Client Onboarding
• Proven experience with ALM, JIRA, qTest and Automation Tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems
• Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to convey message to a broad audience
• Ability to work in a cross functional, collaborative team environment
• Seeks out best practices to find opportunities for improvements in test execution process
• ETL testing with Agile delivery
• Past QA experience
• Test Automation Tools

Pay Range: $50.42-$58.42
