The Technical Onboarding Consultant will lead complex technical onboarding initiatives for enterprise payment solutions.
This role is responsible for delivering seamless onboarding experiences for clients by managing integrations, developing customer‑facing training, and supporting both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
The consultant will gather market insights, manage onboarding content, and oversee projects involving API integrations, SFTP, EDI, XML, and batch file formats.
The position requires strong technical knowledge, client‑facing skills, and the ability to manage multiple onboarding projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Drive market benchmarking and gather voice‑of‑customer insights to help build a best‑in‑class technical onboarding process
- Lead onboarding projects to implement enterprise payment solutions across client organizations
- Develop and maintain onboarding content, training materials, and documentation for technical and non‑technical audiences
- Collaborate with systems integrators and client developer teams to accelerate integration timelines
- Track and manage time‑to‑revenue for onboarding engagements and ensure efficient project delivery
- Lead onboarding projects involving API integrations, SFTP, EDI, XML, and TXT batch files
- Partner with engineering and product teams to understand architecture and ensure consistent onboarding execution
- Present onboarding status, risks, and updates to leadership and stakeholders
- Support change management and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance onboarding experience
- 7+ years of customer success, onboarding, or client‑facing experience within fintech, banking, or e‑commerce environments
- Minimum 5+ years of experience leading technical onboarding for clients
- Technical proficiency sufficient to lead integration projects including API integrations, SFTP, EDI, XML, and TXT batch formats
- Strong project planning and project management experience with the ability to oversee multiple engagements in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience developing client‑facing training and workshop materials
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams across engineering, product, and client organizations
- Experience collaborating with systems integrators and external technical partners
- Familiarity with enterprise payments, banking integrations, or financial systems
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management skills
- Ability to anticipate technical risks and help identify solutions proactively
- Experience supporting onboarding processes for high‑volume or large enterprise clients
- Comfortable working in remote environments with occasional on‑site needs
