Job Description
  • Strategy Architecture Leadership
    Define a multi-year data platform strategy and roadmap (cloud-native, Lakehouse, streaming/event-driven, open table formats) balancing short-term delivery with long-term modernization.
    Convert architecture principles into actionable guidance for teams; ensure plans are cost-aware, feasible, and credible.
  • Emerging Technology AI/ML Innovation
    Monitor and assess new technologies for data and analytics (e.g., distributed query engines, graph databases, No

    SQL, Oracle 23AI, Lakehouse architectures).
    Evaluate AI/ML use cases for scalability, risk, and business value; advise on platforms, MLOps, and integration patterns.
  • PoC to Scale Value Realization
    Sponsor proofs of concept with delivery teams; set success criteria and engineering standards.
    Scale validated patterns into reusable accelerators and templates; measure ROI to guide prioritization.
  • Platform Modernization Alignment
    Drive migration from legacy warehouses to cloud-ready Lakehouse platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) with secure, cost-efficient services.
    Collaborate with Platform ART, CTI, and System Teams to optimize performance, resilience, and cost (Fin Ops).
  • Data Storage, Processing Integration Patterns
    Provide expertise in relational/No

    SQL databases, open table formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake), streaming (Kafka), and event-driven architectures.
    Define reusable patterns for batch, streaming, APIs, and data services; advocate data mesh principles where suitable.
  • Governance, Risk Compliance
    Align with enterprise data strategy, governance, and approved tools (e.g., Collibra, SALT, Informatica).
    Embed responsible AI, model risk controls, lineage standards, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, conduct risk) in solutions.
  • Enablement, Data Literacy Adoption
    Lead data literacy programs, training, and communities of practice to foster adoption of AI and modern engineering.
    Promote best practices for BI tools (Thought Spot, Micro Strategy, Tableau) to accelerate insights.
  • Stakeholder Management Consulting
    Serve as trusted advisor to business, tech, and compliance teams—communicating strategic impact and cost/benefit.
    Partner with Product Owners and Agile Release Trains to integrate platform strategy, AI innovation, and modernization into delivery workflows.
  • Required Skill
    • 10+ years in data engineering/architecture across cloud or hybrid environments, with measurable impact on modernization, scalability, and cost optimization.
    • Hands‑on expertise with cloud‑native Lakehouse platforms (Databricks, Snowflake), streaming (Kafka), ETL/ELT (Informatica), BI (Micro Strategy, Tableau, Thought Spot), and relational databases.
    • Programming proficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering, automation, and AI/ML pipelines.
    • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, platform choices, model lifecycle/MLOps, and integration into enterprise data platforms.
    • Knowledge of metadata, lineage, data quality, and governance tooling (Collibra DQ, SALT, Informatica EDC).
    • Familiarity with distributed query engines (Starburst), graph databases (Tiger Graph), No

      SQL (e.g., Mongo

      DB), open table formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake), and data mesh principles.
    • Proven ability to translate architecture principles into pragmatic delivery patterns; influence platform decisions and align solutions with business priorities.
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills across business, technology, and risk/compliance teams; able to articulate ROI and strategic impact to senior leadership.
    • Experience operating within Agile/SAFe environments (e.g., collaboration with ARTs, System Teams).

    Experience:

    5-8 Years

    The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000.

    Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
