About The Role
As a Test Lead – P&C Insurance Underwriting, you will make an impact by leading end-to-end testing for underwriting platforms such as Duck Creek, Guidewire, or similar systems. You will be a valued member of the Insurance Technology Delivery team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders and offshore teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
In This Role, You Will- Own and drive testing for Duck Creek, Guidewire, or other P&C underwriting applications.
- Lead and mentor teams across onsite and offshore locations.
- Manage all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Define and implement test automation strategies and frameworks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for testing-related activities and stakeholder communication.
This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week onsite at our client location in Charlotte, NC. We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible and support a healthy work-life balance through our wellbeing programs.
What You Need To Have To Be Considered- Strong understanding of P&C Insurance Underwriting processes and workflows.
- Over 10+ years of experience in software testing, including 8+ years specializing in testing for Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Underwriting systems.
- Hands-on experience with Duck Creek, Guidewire, or similar platforms (Policy, Billing, Claims modules preferred).
- Experience in platform migration and upgrade projects.
- Expertise in test automation strategy, framework design, and execution.
- Familiarity with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright) and CI/CD integration.
- Proven ability to lead teams in onsite-offshore delivery models.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Knowledge of API testing, performance testing tools, and Dev Ops practices.
- Innovative mindset with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
