Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst – Advanced SQL (Financial Crimes Technology) to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst – Advanced SQL (Financial Crimes Technology), you will be an integral part of the Technology Business Systems team supporting risk management and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?- Translate enterprise risk assessment needs into structured, testable requirements and develop comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
- Lead requirement gathering workshops with cross-functional teams including Risk, Compliance, Product, Architecture, and Engineering.
- Review technical and functional designs to ensure alignment with risk scoring logic, heatmap calculations, and workflow capabilities based on the operating model.
- Develop and execute testing strategies across functional, regression, and data validation cycles, managing defects through Jira.
- Coordinate rollout activities such as communication, user training, and readiness assessments to ensure smooth adoption across user groups.
- 4+ years of experience in financial crimes, technology governance, or business systems analysis.
- Proven expertise in SQL (SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop) for data analysis and control definition.
- Experience in writing detailed business requirements for complex applications.
- Strong understanding of automated process controls within financial applications and platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
