hackajob is collaborating with Vanguard to connect them with exceptional professionals for this role.
The Director, Data Supply Chain (DSC) Program role is responsible for building and scaling the enterprise Data Supply Chain (DSC) program and advancing the Digital & Analytics data controls function. The role leads a technology-enabled data control capability designed to strengthen governance, transparency and risk management across the full data lifecycle for critical Personal Investor client-facing use cases.
Starting from early pilots and foundational design, this leader will shape and execute the long-term vision, operating model, control framework, tooling strategy, and execution approach for DSC, scaling the program into a sustainable, business-as-usual enterprise capability. The role oversees end-to-end data flows – from source systems through transformation and movement to client-facing consumption – leveraging modern data platforms, data lineage and metadata tools, automation, dashboards, and GenAI-enabled discovery to reduce operational and regulatory risk and improve data quality.
Partnering closely with Technology, Product, Data, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Enterprise Data Governance, and external advisors, this role ensures data controls are designed into modern architectures and delivery processes where possible, rather than applied manually or retroactively.
The ideal candidate brings strategic vision and a strong program execution discipline, with the ability to translate regulatory and risk expectations into scalable, technology-driven solutions that support AI readiness and strengthen client trust.
