Quality Assurance Consultant

Genesis
10 is currently seeking a QA Automation Tester for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves developing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements. The ideal candidate will automate test cases for both User-Interface (UI) and databases using tools like Selenium and Tosca, working collaboratively within an Agile team to ensure software quality.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements
• Automate test cases in User-Interface (UI) and database using tools like Selenium/Tosca
• Build and use test data required to accomplish execution of test cases
• Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression)
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies, and provide timely solutions
• Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle

Requirements:

• Technical BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of experience in Software Testing
• Experience with Automation testing using tools like Selenium/TOSCA for UI and database
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, and ETL technologies
• Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries using Joins
• Experience with Unix and writing/executing Unix commands
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Octane)
• Hands-on Agile experience

Desired skills:

• Strong problem identification and solving skills
• Experience working with globally distributed teams
• Experience in the Banking domain

Pay range: $49.37 - $57.37 per hour
