Job Title
ETL Tester
LocationCharlotte, NC
Experience6 - 10 years of experience
Responsibilities- Analyze data mapping documents and business requirements to design comprehensive test plans and cases.
- Perform source‑to‑target data reconciliation, check data loading, and ensure transformation rules are applied correctly.
- Write complex SQL scripts for validation (count, data completeness, data consistency, data truncation).
- Identify, log, and track data defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Octane.
- Automate test scripts and validate data volume, performance, and scalability.
- Validate HiveQL, HDFS file structures, and data processing within the Hadoop cluster.
- Exhibit strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Communicate effectively with developers and stakeholders.
- Work with metadata‑dependent ETL processes and batch/job frameworks.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with ETL testing.
- Proficient in SQL and SQL scripts for data analysis.
- Experience with Informatica and IDMC, Autosys, Shell scripting.
- Understanding of data warehouse concepts and architectures (star/snowflake schema).
- Familiarity with Hadoop or Spark preferred.
- Knowledge of metadata‑dependent ETL processes and batch/job frameworks.
- Domain knowledge in banking and payments preferred.
- Concepts:
Data Warehousing, Data Transformation, ETL/ELT, Data Quality. - Tools: SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL.
ETL testing, Autosys, SQL, Shell Scripting, Informatica, IDMC.
