Database Migration Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Database Migration Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Database Migration Engineer, you will be an integral part of the IT support department, supporting offshore support operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to project management, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?

• Setting up Harness for database migration processes
• Onboarding accounts into Hashicorp for secure access management
• Ordering service accounts and configuring database permissions for seamless integration
• Migrating database configurations and data to new environments
• Onboarding Splunk for monitoring and logging purposes
• Configuring DNS names to point to Open Shift Container Platform (OCP) containers
• Conducting quality assurance testing to ensure migration success
• Writing comprehensive documentation to support ongoing operations and knowledge sharing

What's Needed?

• Experience with database migration and configuration management
• Knowledge of Hashicorp tools and Hashicorp onboarding procedures
• Familiarity with DNS configuration and container orchestration platforms
• Strong troubleshooting and QA testing skills
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities
