Job DescriptionExperienced Dev Ops Engineer with strong Open Shift expertise to support, automate, and optimize application deployment pipelines across hybrid or multi‑cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Red Hat Open Shift, CI/CD automation, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code practices. This role will work closely with development, cloud, and platform engineering teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable delivery of applications.
Must possess experience doing VM migration to OCP.
Desired – Experience migrating Autosys batch jobs and MongoDB configurations to Open Shift platform.
Ability to use DevinAI / other AI tools to develop migration solution accelerators.
Key Responsibilities- Open Shift Platform Engineering
- Deploy, configure, and manage Red Hat Open Shift clusters in on‑prem or cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Manage cluster upgrades, patches, and lifecycle maintenance.
- Configure Operators, Service Mesh, Ingress Controllers, and Networking.
- Optimize cluster resource utilization, autoscaling, and performance tuning.
- Dev Ops & Automation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops, or ArgoCD.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar tools.
- Automate repeatable tasks, deployments, and environment provisioning.
- Support Git Ops model for deployment and configuration management.
- Containerization & Application Support
- Design and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes standards, and Open Shift best practices.
- Support developers with container build pipelines, image scanning, and container security.
- Troubleshoot application deployment issues and platform‑level incidents.
- Security, Compliance & Monitoring
- Implement security best practices: RBAC, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, network policies, and cluster hardening.
- Integrate monitoring and logging solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Splunk, or Datadog.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration & Documentation
- Work cross‑functionally with development, SRE, cloud, and architecture teams.
- Provide L2/L3 support for Open Shift and Dev Ops environments.
- Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and platform onboarding guides.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in Dev Ops, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Red Hat Open Shift 4.x (must‑have).
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab, Azure Dev Ops, ArgoCD, Tekton).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of Linux (RHEL), networking, and security fundamentals.
- Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar IaC tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or Groovy.
- Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, Open Shift Administrator/Expert).
- Experience with service mesh (Istio), API gateways, or Open Shift Virtualization.
- Familiarity with Git Ops tools:
ArgoCD, FluxCD. - Knowledge of Observability stacks:
Prometheus/Grafana/ELK. - Experience working in regulated environments (banking, finance, healthcare).
