What’s the Job? Driving AI Innovation in Corporate & Investment BankingAs a Business Analyst specializing in Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) AI Innovation, you’ll be a key driver in identifying, defining, and implementing AI-driven process improvements. Your responsibilities will blend strategic analysis with meticulous requirements documentation and seamless cross-functional coordination.
- Elicit, Validate, and Prioritize Business Requirements: You will engage directly with subject matter experts in domains such as FX (Foreign Exchange), commodities, and credit to meticulously elicit, validate, and prioritize business requirements. This involves conducting in-depth interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand their operational needs, challenges, and goals. Your precision in capturing and prioritizing these requirements is crucial for ensuring that AI solutions address the most impactful business problems first.
- Map Current-State Processes and Design Future-State Workflows: A core responsibility will be to meticulously map current-state processes within business units. You will then leverage these insights to design future-state workflows for AI use cases. This involves identifying opportunities for automation and optimization, and envisioning a streamlined process powered by AI. A key example is credit memo automation, where you’ll design workflows that leverage AI to expedite the creation and approval of credit memos, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort.
- Author and Maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria: You will be responsible for meticulously authoring and maintaining comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) that clearly outline the scope, objectives, and functionalities of AI projects. You will also create detailed user stories (from an end-user perspective) and define precise acceptance criteria with clarity and minimal rework. This meticulous documentation is vital for guiding development, ensuring that the final solution aligns perfectly with business needs.
- Facilitate Requirements Workshops and Drive Decisions: You will take a leading role in facilitating requirements workshops and walkthroughs with various stakeholders. Your expertise in this area ensures that all participants are aligned on project goals and technical specifications. You will proactively drive decisions and close open items promptly, ensuring that project momentum is maintained and that any ambiguities or dependencies are resolved efficiently.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Hand-offs and Manage Follow-up: You will be the central coordinator, meticulously managing hand-offs between business, UX/UI, and engineering teams. This involves ensuring that deliverables from one team (e.g., business requirements) are accurately and seamlessly handed off to the next (e.g., design or development). You will also rigorously track deliverables and manage follow-up with a disciplined approach, ensuring that all project tasks are completed on time and that dependencies are effectively managed.
