Rate: C2C/W2/1099.

Position: SAS DI Studio and Advanced SAS/SQL Programmer.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience with SAS Data Management Studio (DI Studio), strong SQL and SAS skills, and a solid understanding of the SDLC lifecycle processes. The role involves designing and developing ETL solutions, including data extraction from heterogeneous sources, data transformation (e.g., cleansing), database loading, and providing support to meet business needs. Experience with various database platforms, including Netezza, is required.

• Demonstrate expertise in ETL/Data design and development concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Implement solutions using the SAS Detail Data Store (DDS) banking model.
• Develop and recommend strategies and specifications for technical data solutions based on business goals, objectives, needs, and existing data infrastructure.
• Design new logical, conceptual, and physical data models for data and system flows.
• Architect high‑performance, scalable, and complex enterprise‑grade systems.
• Collaborate with SAS developers, business analysts, DBAs, and system administrators to design and implement database solutions and write ETL programs.
• Work closely with the team responsible for maintaining the data model, including data dictionary and metadata registry.
• Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
• Perform ETL data extraction, transformation, and loading using SAS/ETL tools.
• Write and maintain SAS macros and SQL scripts.
• Optimize performance within a Unix/Linux environment, including shell scripting.
• Document and communicate solutions effectively, both written and verbal.
• Manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects, meeting deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• At least 5–7 years of experience providing ETL solutions with SAS/ETL tools.
• 5–7 years of experience in a SAS EDI environment, focused on SAS Data Integration Studio, Base SAS, SAS macros, and SQL.
• 1 year of experience with the SAS DDS banking model.
• 2 years of experience in Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehouse/MDM concepts (ETL, Star Schema, slowly changing dimensions).
• Proficiency with relational databases, data warehouses, and business intelligence solutions.
• Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or a relevant degree.
