Summary

The Risk Consultant will support Risk Analytics across the Bank, including portfolio reporting, dashboard development, and data analysis. This role works closely with Credit Risk, Finance, and Data teams to develop analytical solutions, improve reporting efficiency and support risk management and business needs.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, technically strong, and comfortable working with large datasets and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAS, SQL). Success in this role requires a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple deliverables.

Responsibilities
  • Source, analyze, and transform datasets across multiple systems and reporting environments.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute recurring reports, dashboards, and analytical tools using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, SAS, or similar technologies.
  • Support Risk Analytics processes including earnings reporting, management reporting, and ad hoc analytics.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data inconsistencies, escalating issues and communicating impacts in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Risk Analytics and Data Governance and Reporting teams to improve reporting processes and analytical capabilities, while supporting ongoing data quality and reporting improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other project work as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 2-3 years of experience with analytical and reporting tools such as SAS, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets and data structures.
  • A collaborative mindset, as this role involves working with multiple teams and stakeholders within the bank.
  • Experience with banking organizations, business concepts, processes, information, and data.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, research-oriented group that has several concurrent projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, data mining, applied mathematics or other quantitative discipline.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
