Application Support Engineer (Level II)
Location:

We are seeking a talented Application Support Engineer (Level II) to provide reliable support for enterprise applications in a fast-paced, high-availability environment. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues, ensuring system stability and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide L2 application support for business-critical systems
- Monitor application health, performance, and availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and production issues
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and QA teams for issue resolution
- Manage tickets and workflows using tools like Service Now
- Analyze logs and system behavior to identify patterns and recurring issues
- Support release and deployment activities
- Maintain documentation for support processes and known issues
- Participate in on-call rotation / 24x7 support model
- 3–6 years of experience in application production support (L2)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience with incident management and ticketing tools (Service Now preferred)
- Good understanding of application architecture and system flows
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix commands
- Experience with log analysis tools (Splunk, ELK, or similar)
- Familiarity with batch jobs, job scheduling tools (Autosys, Control-M, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases
- Ability to work in a high-pressure production environment
- Experience in banking or financial services domain
- Exposure to monitoring tools (Dynatrace, App Dynamics, etc.)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with Dev Ops tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Basic scripting (Shell, Python, or Power Shell)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving mindset
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Team player with a proactive attitude
