Cisco Network Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with a leading organization, is looking for a Telecom Analyst III to join their team in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and documenting complex data network solutions. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and Cisco products, and will work on planning and improving enterprise network solutions. Responsibilities include configuring Cisco devices, maintaining accurate network diagrams, and preparing detailed engineering job packages.

The role also involves procuring and troubleshooting WAN circuits and collaborating across IT teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Minimum of 5-7 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in Cisco Systems design and support
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and Cisco IOS configurations
• Familiarity with WAN circuits and troubleshooting
• Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE preferred

• Plan, design, test, and implement enterprise network solutions
• Configure and implement Cisco routers and switches into existing infrastructure
• Maintain accurate diagrams and configurations for all network devices
• Prepare detailed engineering job packages including parts lists and documentation
• Troubleshoot and turn up private and public WAN circuits
• Collaborate with IT teams to provide end-to-end solutions
