Application Support Engineer
Contract position in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid).
Rate Range: $52/hour to $55/hour. Rate negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location and other factors.
Responsibilities- Provide application support for critical applications in the Payments space.
- Monitor and support applications to ensure 100% SLA compliance.
- Provide on‑call support and triage production tickets/issues.
- Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documents for issues.
- Partner with application teams, CCO, and support teams to resolve issues.
- Prepare and review Impact Analysis based on issue analysis.
- Automate daily business‑as‑usual (BAU) tasks by writing scripts.
- Support after office hours, at weekends, and stay on call when needed.
- Identify root causes in code and suggest break‑fix activities in the code and/or database.
- Follow the release management and code deployment process to migrate code changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in application support, with a focus on critical applications in the Payments space.
- Strong experience with Java/J2EE, SQL, and Splunk for troubleshooting and monitoring.
- Hands‑on experience with Unix/Linux scripting and understanding of database terminologies.
$52.00 to $55.00 per hour.
