Technical Business Analyst – End User Computing (EUC) Governance
Location:
Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 2 days per week on-site) Compensation: $150,000 – $170,000 (Perm/Direct Hire) Compliance: W2 Only. No Third Parties. No W2 Referrals.
The Opportunity Join a newly centralized End User Computing (EUC) Governance Program within a premier global financial institution. This mission-critical initiative is a high-visibility partnership between Technology and Risk Management, designed to establish a robust framework for EUC tools across the Americas Division.
We are seeking a high-caliber Technical Business Analyst {Associate/VP level} to drive the First Line of Defense (1
LOD) strategy. This is not just a documentation role; you will be the bridge between complex business functions and technology risk, ensuring that the tools used for financial reporting, capital management, and front-office processing are secure, compliant, and optimized.
- Governance Framework Execution:
Coordinate with business functions to implement new governance requirements, including the discovery, risk assessment, and control design for EUC tools operating in the environment. - Process Engineering:
Lead process mapping and workflow optimization for EUC management, utilizing subject matter expertise to transition high-risk solutions to formal IT processes where appropriate. - Monitoring & Testing:
Conduct independent spot-check reviews and targeted testing to ensure adherence to EUC policy. Track deficiencies and lead remediation efforts with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, and Internal Audit. - Data Quality & Tooling:
Create data quality checks and governance routines. Support the deployment and operation of specialized EUC Governance automation tools. - Stakeholder Partnership:
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EUC owners and developers, providing guidance on control execution and managing escalations through root cause analysis.
- 3–5 Years of
Experience:
Background in Finance, Audit, Risk, Compliance, or Regulatory Management within the Banking/Financial Services sector. - Technical Proficiency:
Must be proficient in the tools business units use to develop EUC solutions:
Python, R, VBA, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and Alteryx. - Risk & Control Mindset:
In-depth knowledge of operations and technology controls. Experience with the "3 Lines of Defense" model is highly preferred. - Strategic Communication:
Ability to articulate complex "future state" concepts and risk findings to all levels of business partners, from developers to executive leadership. - Analytical Rigor:
Advanced process mapping skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets, organize findings, and build executive-level presentations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, MIS, Business, or a related technical discipline.
- Specific knowledge of high-risk banking processes: (Regulatory Reporting, Treasury Management, Front-Office Operations, or Tax).
- Experience in a "First Line of Defense" (1
LOD) capacity within a global bank.
