Infrastructure Consultant
Glint Tech Solutions is a women-owned global staffing and IT recruiting firm connecting top technical talent with leading enterprise clients across the United States.
Our client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Consultant to support a 1-year engagement focused on distributed infrastructure engineering, virtualization, and large-scale system modernization. This role spans both hands-on technical solution design and high-level collaboration across technology and business stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on cloud security, automation, and operational risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead or participate in high-level technical discussions spanning technology and business
- Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems and design and test solutions
- Contribute to the virtualization and migration of business, application, and technical infrastructure
- Drive solutions to reduce recovery time
- Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management, and key rotation
- Design, code, test, debug, and document programs using Agile development practices
- Design complex system upgrades
- Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
- Develop long-range plans to resolve and prevent recurring problems
- Direct daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures, and work standards
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- 3+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 3+ years of Distributed Infrastructure and/or related IT Infrastructure experience
- 3+ years of experience with Distributed Compute:
Virtualization, Server Infrastructure, Converged/Hyper-Converged hosting - 3+ years of experience with Hypervisors: VMware, Nutanix, Open Shift containers
- 2+ years of scripting and/or automation experience
- 1+ years of experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with Agile development practices and complex system design
- Background in cloud security, secrets management, or key rotation processes
- Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives
