Required Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in Server Administration, preferably in enterprise or data center environments.
- Strong hands-on experience in macOS Server administration and related ecosystem tools.
- Proficiency in server configuration, maintenance, and scripting (Shell, Bash, or similar automation scripting languages).
- Experience with endpoint and device management/security tools such as VMware Workspace ONE, Tanium, Jamf, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of server security profile configuration, access controls, and compliance standards.
- Experience with server virtualization technologies and environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams.
- Administer and maintain macOS servers in enterprise data center environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security compliance.
- Manage server patching schedules, OS updates, and security software updates in alignment with organizational security policies.
- Perform day-to-day server administration tasks, including configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for software deployment, patch management, and system updates.
- Collaborate closely with Mac Support and Infrastructure teams to define and execute server management strategies within the data center.
- Ensure all servers remain compliant with security baselines, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and troubleshoot network configurations including DHCP, IP assignment, and resolution of IP conflicts or network identification issues.
- Support managed OS deployments, software packaging, and application installation processes.
- Participate in incident response, problem management, and continuous improvement initiatives for server infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, processes, and operational procedures.
