Mainframe Admin

Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe Systems Admin for a Fulltime position with a client located in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid- 3 Days per week onsite).

Salary Range: $125,000 to $130,000/ Year(The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Position Summary: Support current and future implementations of Unisys Clear Path MCP mainframes and related system software and hardware with a goal of maintaining maximum performance and reliability in the mainframe environment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a combination of equivalent education and experience in systems configuration, programming, and integration
• Knowledge of systems programming concepts such as table and bit manipulation, messaging, queuing, database organization and disk I/O
• Experience with Unisys Clear Path Libra mainframe hardware installation and configuration including:
  • System Editor
  • OC Manager
  • Network connectivity
  • Storage network connectivity
• Experience with Unisys Clear Path Software Series VM based system installation and configuration
• General knowledge of Windows networking and iSCSI concepts
• Knowledge of the integration of the Microsoft Windows server, Linux server and Unisys mainframe environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
