Cloud Database Administrator Engineer

Salary Range: $150k-$200k annually. (DOE)

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Administrator Engineer to lead the architecture, engineering, automation, security, and operational support of enterprise database platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. This role serves as a senior technical leader responsible for IBM Db2 LUW, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS database services, and database modernization initiatives supporting mission-critical payment systems and enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in database engineering, high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR), cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and large-scale database migration projects.

This role serves as a senior technical leader responsible for Db2 LUW, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS database services, and database platform modernization initiatives.

The engineer will design and implement highly available, secure, automated, and scalable database solutions supporting mission-critical payment systems and corporate applications. This position requires deep expertise in database engineering, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, disaster recovery planning, and enterprise-scale database migrations.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of enterprise database administration and engineering experience.
• Expert-level experience administering Db2 LUW 11.5+ in Linux environments.
• Expert-level experience administering Microsoft SQL Server 2019+.
• Extensive experience with Db2 HADR, Pacemaker clustering, and Q Replication.
• Extensive experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and related HA technologies.
• Proven experience designing and supporting cloud database platforms within AWS.
• Strong experience with AWS RDS, EC2, VPC, IAM, Cloud Watch, KMS, and AWS Backup.
• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Strong scripting experience using Python, Power Shell, Bash, or similar languages.
