SAP MDG Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Functional Consultant to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) with hands‑on experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting master data management solutions. The consultant will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to design and deliver scalable master data governance solutions that improve data quality and business processes.

• Gather and analyze business requirements related to master data governance.
• Design, configure, and implement SAP MDG solutions for domains such as Customer, Vendor, Material, and Business Partner.
• Configure data models, workflows, validations, derivations, business rules, and change request processes.
• Collaborate with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end MDG solutions.
• Ensure high‑quality master data through governance, validation, and approval workflows.
• Support data migration, cleansing, and integration activities with SAP S/4
  
  HANA and ECC.
• Perform functional testing, support SIT/UAT, and assist with production deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP MDG‑related issues while providing ongoing application support.
• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, and user training materials.
• Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• 7+ years of SAP functional consulting experience.
• 4+ years of hands‑on SAP MDG implementation and support experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MDG for Material, Customer, Vendor, and Business Partner domains.
• Experience configuring MDG workflows, data models, business rules, validations, and change requests.
• Good understanding of SAP S/4
  
  HANA or SAP ECC master data processes.
• Experience with data migration and data quality initiatives.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications for MDG.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, and production environments.

• Experience with SAP Data Services, SAP Information Steward, or other data governance tools.
• Exposure to ABAP debugging and collaboration with technical development teams.
• Experience integrating SAP MDG with other SAP and non‑SAP applications.
• SAP MDG or SAP S/4
  
  HANA certification is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile project environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
