Techno-Functional Oracle Payroll Consultant

Qualifications and Requirements- 5–8 years of experience with Oracle Cloud HCM payroll module
- Deep understanding of payroll processing, US taxes, and payroll accounting
- Understanding of end‑to‑end integrations between HR, compensation, and payroll
- Experience creating and maintaining elements and fast formulas specific to the payroll module
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud methodologies for developing components such as HDL/HSDL, fast formulas, HCM extract, OTBI, BI Publisher
- Knowledge of tables used in Oracle HCM for support and reporting
- Experience working on the Oracle EBS platform (on‑prem) is a plus
- Oracle Cloud Payroll Practitioner certification
- Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) experience
- PL/SQL skills
This role is within an HR technology team focused specifically on payroll. The organization implemented Oracle HCM Fusion about a year ago and continues to build its team as the SI partner has rolled off. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of the payroll module in Oracle HCM, significant experience with Core HR and Compensation modules, and a strong grasp of configuration and integrations between the modules.
The role involves solutioning, testing and configuration, and the candidate will act as a payroll SME to ensure upgrades succeed, design and build reporting requirements, and provide technical recommendations.
An ongoing initiative is to integrate 200+ vendors into the Oracle suite to ensure proper functionality. Candidates should be comfortable working in a highly functional capacity with technical concepts and providing recommendations to solve problems.
