Overview
Collins Aerospace is looking for an ERP Business Analyst – Record to Report (R2R) to help drive our Collins Process & Systems Transformation program. The program will harmonize key business processes, associated tools, metrics, and reporting across the company, enabling migration into standardized ERP systems and customer‐related applications. Collins has chosen SAP’s S/4
HANA for the future ERP system.
- Support the end‑to‑end R2R process areas including General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets (FA), Intercompany Accounting, Month‑end and Year‑end close, Banking, Treasury, Tax, Controlling, profit center and cost center accounting, product costing, and project systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as planning, bill of materials, routings, MRP, and external procurement to design and implement solutions that leverage S/4
HANA and enhance workstream processes aligned with Collin’s operating model and industry best practices. - Support the collection and distribution of labor through the SAP CATS integration into FI/CO and project systems, including setup of activity types and rates.
- Familiarize with SAP S/4 universal allocations, assessments and distributions, and overhead application via costing sheets for multiple cost objects in an advanced manufacturing environment.
- Translate business needs into system requirements and process improvements, providing guidance on effective use of the ERP system.
- Assist data, process and integration teams in data mapping, testing, and document common solutions such as configuration documents, process flows, and data policies.
- Deliver functional specifications for forms, reports, enhancements, conversion programs, integrations, and workflows within the scope of the workstream.
- University degree (or advanced degree) in a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (or 7 years with an advanced degree).
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Experience with SAP systems, including configuration, data management, and reporting.
- 10+ years of finance acumen in areas such as finance master data, allocations, FP&A, financial reporting, tax, treasury, G/L, fixed assets, payroll, period close and consolidation, costing, and project accounting.
- 7+ years of SAP configuration and implementation experience in FI/CO modules (general ledger, treasury, banking, asset accounting, AR, AP, tax integrations, intercompany accounting, profit center accounting, and controlling).
- Program management experience: ability to plan, manage, and deliver across multiple bodies of work.
- Experience on large, complex A&D enterprise projects or similarly regulated organizations.
- Experience with agile frameworks or iterative approaches to software development and implementation projects.
- Curiosity and innovation mindset, pursuing solutions that allow Collins to grow with new technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- Adaptability to fast‑paced, dynamic environments and changing priorities.
- Familiarity with financial regulations, controls, and security measures; experience implementing compliance standards within an ERP system.
