Risk Data Analyst / Risk Analytics Consultant
Are you a data-driven analyst with experience supporting risk, finance, or regulatory reporting initiatives? We're seeking a Risk Data Analyst to join a high-impact enterprise risk team supporting large-scale regulatory and capital reporting projects within a leading financial institution.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex data initiatives involving Python, SQL, Excel, and enterprise data management while partnering with business and technology teams in a highly regulated environment.
What You'll Do- Analyze and validate large datasets supporting enterprise risk and regulatory reporting initiatives.
- Perform data sourcing, mapping, reconciliation, and quality analysis across multiple systems.
- Support testing efforts, including data validation, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Develop Python- and Excel-based solutions to improve reporting, analysis, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and resolve data-related issues.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to enterprise risk initiatives.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory and internal governance standards.
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, business analysis, or testing within financial services.
- Experience supporting Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Capital, or Enterprise Data initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, complex formulas, and data reconciliation.
- Strong SQL experience for querying and validating data.
- Python experience for data analysis, validation, and automation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting or enterprise risk initiatives.
- Knowledge of data mapping, data lineage, and data governance concepts.
- Experience with integration testing, reconciliation, and UAT.
- Previous experience working within large, highly regulated financial services organizations.
- Competitive $45–$50/hour W2 pay.
- Long-term contract with strong extension potential.
