Position Summary
This is the third level of a four-level job hierarchy. Employees at this level manage work with minimal supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and work independently, with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects or issues. They are fully competent in the use of concepts and procedures, identify problems, develop solutions, and take actions to resolve.
Role DescriptionThe Sr Product Analyst provides and leads analytical support to Product Owners or Product Managers engaged in the discovery, design, and delivery of products.
Responsibilities- Assist product owner with user research and story writing.
- Perform key activities within a product team such as process mapping, value stream mapping, process analysis, process design, methods development, performance standards and metrics development, and ROI analysis.
- Develop and execute quality assurance plans.
- Support change management functions to ensure successful product implementation.
- Collaborate with the product team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives and potential areas to gain efficiencies or cost savings.
- Utilize data to help teams develop and implement solutions.
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum five (5) or more years of related work experience
- Or High School/GED and nine (9) or more years of related work experience
- Five or more years' experience with Salesforce Sales, Marketing and/or Data Cloud.
- Ten or more years' experience in product delivery/management.
- Experience working on agile teams to deliver software, including hybrid onshore/offshore teams.
- Experience partnering with software implementation vendors for delivery.
- Experience working in a scaled agile environment.
- Experience working on a cross-functional team, balancing work for multiple lines of business simultaneously.
- Experience working with JIRA and writing user stories.
- Experience working with Confluence.
- Experience working in AWS.
- Experience with AI, ML and/or chatbots.
- Agile Product Owner or Scrum Master certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly across a variety of media, including facilitation and presenting results to all levels of the organization.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
- Deep curiosity and bias toward action.
- Ability to research and gather data.
- Collaborative problem-solving style to drive change through influence.
- Five or more years experience in utility industry.
- Black Belt Six Sigma certification.
- Ability to define and quantify opportunities with minimal existing data.
- Experience writing business cases.
- Experience creating and maintaining visual representations of ongoing data tracking activities and outcomes (through data dashboards).
- Design Thinking experience.
- Green Belt Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience.
Hybrid - work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. Hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to the designated Duke Energy facility. Office environment mostly, occasional research or analysis conducted in plants or field.
Travel Requirements5-15%.
