Job Description

The IT Coordinator (Contractor) will serve as the liaison between local system users and corporate network support as well as other IT support teams. The Coordinator will assist the IT Manager in implementing and executing information technology strategic plans, policies, programs and schedules related to business, computer services, network communications, toll operations (including electronic toll operations), and management information services. This role will also help coordinate changes to the IT infrastructure and corporate services deployed at the data center and administrative buildings.

This position is expected to last no more than six months and will not offer medical benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise the IT Manager or CIO on the general operation of the IT systems.
  • Execute day‑to‑day routine and preventative maintenance of IT systems.
  • Assume responsibility for emergency IT situations in the absence of the IT Manager.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating IT installation and development projects.
  • Help develop and maintain operating policies and procedures for the Information Technology Department.
  • Assist with software, hardware and service updates and requests.
  • Act on threats associated with the security of information systems, communication lines and equipment.
  • Monitor corporate-level system enhancements (e.g., Office 365) via the company intranet.
  • Maintain the company asset management system.
  • Maintain company cellular accounts and, with appropriate approval, provision new devices.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • 1+ year of experience in basic computer and network environments within a business setting.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Strong, positive verbal, written, interpersonal and documentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast‑paced environment while demonstrating initiative and quality work.
  • High level of computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and other PC‑based programs.
  • Expertise in computer systems troubleshooting.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

The noise level is usually quiet. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The position requires regular use of a computer and requires the ability to adjust focus as necessary. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
