Database Administrator - Hybrid
Location:
Charlotte, NC, US, 28277
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 years of database administration experience with Oracle Server
- Expertise in Oracle technologies, OCI, Exadata experience, familiarity with monitoring tools like OEM
- Strong proficiency with SQL, Oracle partitioning, and knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL (2+ years)
- Experience with Linux and shell scripting
- Experience monitoring SQL performance and tuning (plan, baselines, profiles)
- Experience developing PL/SQL procedures/packages and automation
- Experience managing the deployment of DDL/DMLs to the database
- Experience with CICD concepts
- Ability to assist application developers with SQL review
- 4+ years of experience with database administration within Oracle
- Deep knowledge/experience in the following: SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle DBA tasks
- Able to stay current with emerging trends and database technologies
- Able to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications and maintain a thorough knowledge of internal company software applications applicable to the position/business unit
- Oracle Database Certification
- Oracle Advanced Queues knowledge
- Data modeling skills and use of Entity-Relation (ER)

- Focus on SQL queries, plan review, and database administration
- Be responsible for daily monitoring of SQL performance, uptime and drive resolution to technical issues
- Support database performance in the context of applications by working with the infrastructure and application teams
- Act as a liaison between the project management, technical teams and IT leadership; assure best practices are defined and followed; drive consistency across applications and projects wherever possible
- Support deployment of new databases, new schemas and new database objects and ongoing maintenance of the same
- Contribute to defining application database standards by creating application data models
