GCP Senior Engineer

Mount Laurel, NJ / Charlotte, NC (on-site) Contract and FTE Both

We need a senior/lead engineer with 12+ years of genuine experience.

GCP senior engineer role involves building, automating, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security.

You will be instrumental in developing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, supporting platform operations, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver robust cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and provision GCP infrastructure using Terraform.
• Implement automation, guardrails, and follow cloud policies for GCP environments.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions.
• Provide support for platform issues and business escalations.
• Work with various GCP data products including Cloud SQL, GCS, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Big Query, and Vertex AI.

Required skills & qualifications:

• Extensive hands-on experience with GCP cloud engineering.
• Deep understanding of networking and service communication.
• Deep expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Git Hub Actions and experience in deploying GCP services such as Big Query and Dataflow.
• Understanding the internals of Big Query architecture and ability to map and follow the internal approved patterns of deployment.
• Exposure in the release process and ability to follow throughout the lifecycle of the service enablement.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and policy implementation.
• Experience with other GCP data services is a plus.
