Job Description We are seeking a Teradata Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Teradata administration, automation with Unix/Linux scripting, and mainframe integration and a proven ability to design, implement, and support scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise data environments. Responsibilities:
Perform Application DBA functions including DDL creation, SQL scripting, problem analysis, change deployments, and on-call rotation support. Design, develop, implement, document, and support automated DBA processes using Teradata and Unix/Linux scripting. Support multiple Teradata environments including development/UAT, disaster recovery, and enterprise data warehouse production. Implement and administer access controls aligned with corporate security standards and policies. Support mainframe administrative functions including archive processing and job scheduling.

Manage, design, document, and consult on storage management, archive, restore, backup, and disaster recovery practices. Partner with application project teams to implement database changes for large initiatives and BAU work. Complete assigned training, attend team meetings, and adhere to internal DBA processes and tools. Provide weekly written status reports to management and work independently with minimal supervision. Qualifications:

10+ years of Teradata DBA experience with exposure to Teradata V17.20 or higher. Advanced knowledge of Teradata RDBMS at physical and logical levels. Proficiency with Teradata tools:
Teradata Studio, TDWM, BTEQ, ARCMAIN, FASTLOAD, MLOAD, TPUMP, TPT, DBQL, and PDCR. Working knowledge of Viewpoint, Teradata Data Mover, and Teradata BAR technology. Unix/Linux scripting skills in KSH, Bash, and Perl for automation.

Experience with mainframe interfaces and execution: TDP, JCL, TSO, ISPF, FICON, and NDM. Familiarity with Teradata system setup utilities including GDO, DBSControl, and Multitool. Knowledge of Query Grid, DSA, Teradata Server components, NPARC, and TASM.

Experience with enterprise schedulers such as CA-7 and Auto Sys. Understanding of replication technologies including Golden Gate. Preferred

Skills:

REXX scripting exposure. Familiarity with Hadoop and cloud concepts and technologies.
