Vaco is looking for a Lead Dev Ops Engineer to sit on-site hybrid in Charlotte, NC. Must be able to work on a W2 basis with no sponsorship for this role. Ideal candidates will already be located in Charlotte, NC.
We are seeking a Lead Dev Ops Engineer to help drive automation, CI/CD processes, and cloud infrastructure initiatives across a growing technology environment. This role will lead a team of Dev Ops engineers while working closely with development teams to improve application delivery, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do- Lead and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Partner with development teams to support releases, troubleshoot build issues, and improve deployment workflows.
- Drive automation efforts to reduce manual tasks and improve system reliability.
- Monitor applications and infrastructure, responding to alerts and resolving issues before they impact users.
- Implement automated testing, compliance checks, and security best practices.
- Develop scripts and tools using Python, Power Shell, and Bash.
- Serve as the Azure Dev Ops subject matter expert.
- Administer and support tools such as Nexus Repository, monitoring platforms, and code vulnerability scanning solutions.
- Track and report Dev Ops metrics, including DORA metrics.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis efforts.
- Mentor and lead a team of Dev Ops engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience leading Dev Ops teams and managing workloads across multiple projects.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong scripting skills using Python, Power Shell, or Bash.
- Experience supporting cloud environments and designing highly available solutions.
- Knowledge of SQL, monitoring tools, and application security scanning tools.
- Experience using AI-powered tools to support software development or automation efforts is a plus.
