WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Reporting to the SVP & Chief Information Officer, James Olender, the CISO must be able to:
- Mitigate Third-Party & Supply Chain Risk:
Develop robust protocols to manage the cybersecurity of a global, interconnected supply chain, ensuring that ADI's digital products and services remain resilient against sophisticated hybrid attacks. - Translate Risk into Financial
Terms:
Quantify and communicate cyber risks as financial and operational impact to the Board and the Audit and Compliance Committee, ensuring security investments are aligned with ADI's Long Term revenue goals and sustainability mission. - Lead a Shared Responsibility Culture:
Evangelize a culture of cyber awareness across ADI's 5,000+ employees and global partner network, moving security from a technical hurdle to a proactive business enabler that builds customer trust. - Standardize Global Governance:
Drive the adoption of consistent global standards (such as NIST and ISO 27001) across ADI's global locations to ensure a baseline of cyber hygiene that supports ADI’s ongoing digital expansion.
- Develop and implement a strategic, long-term security strategy that protects ADI's global information assets.
- Work with senior business leaders to assess and communicate acceptable levels of risk across diverse global markets and critical infrastructure projects.
- Identify and report on security risks to the Executive team and the Audit and Compliance Committee of the Board, providing expertise on industrial and data standards.
- Deliver Board updates, presenting ADI's security posture directly and in alignment with Board expectations.
- Manage a high‑visibility Board environment where cyber risks must be escalated rapidly and communicated with clarity, precision, and real‑time responsiveness.
- Develop, mentor, and manage a high-performing global team of security professionals, fostering expertise in Cloud Security, Application Security, and Product Security.
- Identify, establish, and continuously enhance cybersecurity policies, standards, and tooling embedded within ADI’s enterprise AI strategy, ensuring responsible, secure adoption of AI across products, platforms, and operations.
- Ensure cyber resilience of critical distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehouse execution, transportation systems, store fronts, and customer service platforms.
- Implement necessary controls to secure and protect branch operations, point-of-sale systems, customer-facing technologies, and distributed edge computing environments.
- Protect customer-facing ecommerce platforms from fraud, account takeover, bot attacks, payment fraud, and digital commerce disruption.
- Leverage AI‑driven security capabilities to strengthen threat detection and response, enabling proactive defense against emerging cyber risks and accelerating ADI's ability to anticipate, prevent, and mitigate sophisticated attacks.
- Ensure the security program complies with international data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR) and emerging cybersecurity regulations.
- Act as the primary champion for a Security‑by‑Design culture, ensuring that security is a competitive advantage for ADI's digital solutions.
- Partner with Enterprise Architects and Product Engineering teams to ensure ADI's platforms are developed according to secure coding and infrastructure guidelines.
- Manage global intrusion detection and vulnerability reporting, coordinating with Internal Audit and external partners to remediate risks across all technology environments.
- Develop KPI metrics that measure the effectiveness of the security program and demonstrate continuous maturity in alignment with the NIST framework.
- Monitor the global threat landscape for emerging risks, advising stakeholders on proactive defense measures.
- Own enterprise cyber resilience strategy including operational recovery, business continuity planning, cyber crisis management, and executive tabletop exercises.
- Oversee incident response planning and breach investigations, coordinating with Legal and Communications to manage impacts on customers and public trust.
