Assistant Director for Athletics Technical Support

UNC Charlotte is hiring an Assistant Director for Athletics Technical Support. The position involves directing, operating, and maintaining audio-visual systems in athletic facilities, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, coordinating technical resources for events, and training student technical staff.

• Manage and troubleshoot LED video systems, scoreboards, content management, sound, lighting, projectors, and meeting technologies in athletic venues.
• Perform repairs on audio-visual software and hardware systems.
• Coordinate technical support during athletic events alongside the Technical Director.
• Train and evaluate student staff responsible for technical equipment operation.
• Requires knowledge of professional audio/visual equipment and experience in sports environments preferred.
• Bachelor's degree with at least one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Permanent, full-time position with a work schedule of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday plus evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events.
• Salary range between $52,721 and $72,491, with anticipated hiring range $52,721 to $65,901.
• Located within the Athletics division, supporting the Barnhardt Student Activity Center, Halton Arena, and additional athletic facilities.
• This is a mandatory position requiring prompt response to emergencies or adverse conditions.
