Data Engineer – Cybersecurity Analytics
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer – Cybersecurity Analytics to design, develop, and support scalable cloud-based data solutions that enable cybersecurity analytics, reporting, and operational intelligence.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Snowflake, AWS S3, Terraform, Python, SQL, Spark, and Kafka, along with a solid understanding of data security, governance, and enterprise data engineering practices. This role will work closely with cybersecurity, Dev Ops, QA, and application teams to build secure, reliable, and high-performing data pipelines and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize AWS Glue ETL pipelines for ingesting and transforming cybersecurity data from multiple sources.
- Design and implement scalable Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions using AWS S3, Snowflake, and other cloud-native technologies.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and environment deployments.
- Build and optimize Snowflake data models, stored procedures, and SQL queries to support analytics, reporting, and large-scale data processing.
- Develop and maintain RESTful API integrations for secure data ingestion and communication between applications and backend data platforms.
- Implement Apache Kafka solutions for real-time streaming, event-driven data ingestion, and ETL workflows.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SSIS packages supporting batch processing, data integration, and migration activities.
- Monitor production data pipelines, troubleshoot failures, resolve performance issues, and support application and release deployments.
- Apply data security and governance practices, including encryption, IAM, RBAC, access controls, and compliance requirements
. - Collaborate with cybersecurity, Dev Ops, QA, application development, and other cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable data solutions.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews, code reviews, security assessments, and technical discussions to improve engineering standards and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cloud-based Data Engineering and Big Data processing environments.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing, orchestrating, and monitoring AWS Glue ETL pipelines
. - 3+ years of experience using Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code and cloud environment automation.
- 4+ years of experience designing and supporting Data Warehouses and Data Lakes
, with experience in AWS S3, Snowflake, or similar technologies. - 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake
, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning. - 2+ years of experience with Apache Kafka for real-time streaming, event-driven architectures, and data integration.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL, Python, and Spark for large-scale data transformation and analytics.
- 2+ years of experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
, including JSON, OAuth, API keys, and related authentication mechanisms. - 2+ years of experience developing, maintaining, and debugging SSIS packages
. - Strong understanding of cloud security, encryption, IAM, RBAC, data governance, and secure data management practices
. - Experience troubleshooting and supporting production data pipelines
, including both batch and real-time processing environments. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

Pay Transparency
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $106,840 -$160,250. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
