Technology Resilience Specialist (Disaster Recovery & Cloud)
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: 2–3 days/week onsite)
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $50.00 / hr W2 (Depending on experience)
Duration: 1 Year + (Potential for Extension)

We are seeking a hands-on Technology Resilience Specialist to support the design, governance, and validation of enterprise-wide technology resilience across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments for a leading organization in Charlotte, NC.
This role serves as a subject matter expert across Disaster Recovery (DR), cyber recovery, backup/restoration, and workload recovery testing. You will partner with cross-functional infrastructure, cloud, application, and cybersecurity teams to evaluate resilience designs, coordinate recovery exercises, identify vulnerability gaps, and strengthen operational recovery postures in accordance with strict regulatory expectations.
Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance & Readiness: Support the execution of the Technology Resilience Program across hybrid environments, ensuring alignment with Business Continuity Management (BCM) policies, recovery tiers, and regulatory expectations.
Recovery Architecture & Strategy: Evaluate and challenge recovery designs for new and existing applications hosted in AWS, Azure, and traditional data centers; define backup strategies, recovery groups, and failover/failback mechanisms.
Resilience & DR Testing: Coordinate and execute end-to-end recovery testing activities (application recovery, backup/restore validations, cloud failover, and cyber recovery simulations); log test results and track remediation plans to resolution.
Cloud Resilience: Support cloud resilience governance across Azure and AWS platforms, assisting application teams with dependency mapping, backup validation, and native cloud recovery planning.
Cyber Recovery & Infrastructure Protection: Assess recovery readiness for critical core services (Active Directory, Entra , databases, backup platforms) and participate in tabletop cyber recovery exercises.
Audit & Risk Compliance: Maintain comprehensive testing evidence and documentation to support internal audits, risk assessments, and regulatory examinations.
Experience: 5–10 years of experience in Technology Resilience, Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure Operations, Cloud Operations, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
DR Concepts & Capabilities: Deep knowledge of core resilience fundamentals including RTO/RPO
, backup/recovery, failover/failback, business continuity, and cyber recovery frameworks.Technical Breadth: Familiarity with cloud platforms (
AWS, Azure
) as well as enterprise data center technology (
VMware, Windows Server, Linux, storage, networking
).Communication &
Collaboration:
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills to bridge technical execution with non-technical business leaders.Onsite Commitment: Ability to work hybrid onsite 2–3 days per week at the Charlotte, NC office location.
Experience with enterprise backup platforms (e.g.,
Rubrik, Cohesity, Commvault
).Background supporting financial services or highly regulated corporate environments.
Exposure to regulatory frameworks and standards such as FFIEC, OCC, NYDFS, NIST, or DORA
