IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst, Scrum Master

Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of Scrum or Agile experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
What You Will Be Doing
- Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Scrum or Agile.
- Review and analyze basic or tactical Scrum Master assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables.
- Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Provide information to client personnel.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies:
Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews/Demos, Sprint Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement sessions - Ensure meetings are productive, time-boxed, and action-oriented.
Team Coaching
- Coach team members on Scrum and Agile principles.
- Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
- Help new team members understand team processes and ways of working.
- Identify, track, and help remove blockers impacting delivery.
- Escalate issues to leadership when team-level resolution is insufficient.
- Coordinate with dependent teams to resolve delivery constraints.
Sprint Execution & Tracking
- Monitor Sprint progress against commitments.
- Track velocity, burndown, capacity, and sprint health metrics.
- Highlight risks, delays, and potential scope impacts early.
- Work with Product Owner to maintain a healthy backlog.
- Ensure stories meet Definition of Ready (DoR).
- Verify completion against Definition of Done (DoD).
- Support prioritization discussions and sprint planning activities.
Stakeholder Communication
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Communicate sprint outcomes, risks, dependencies, and escalations.
- Facilitate coordination across teams when dependencies exist.
Agile Metrics & Reporting
- Maintain Agile dashboards and reports.
- Present delivery status to management and governance forums.
- Identify delivery risks early.
- Drive mitigation and follow-up actions.
- Ensure improvement actions are implemented.
- Measure effectiveness of process improvements.
Tools & Process Administration
- Ensure stories, tasks, defects, and statuses are updated accurately.
