Performance Test Engineer - Hybrid

10 is currently seeking a Performance Test Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will consult on complex software engineering initiatives, focusing on performance testing for a policy governance platform. As the dedicated test engineer for a scrum team, you will be responsible for improving application performance by designing test cases, developing automation scripts, executing various performance tests, and analyzing results to identify bottlenecks.

Responsibilities:

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering
• Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, larger-scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges
• Create performance test strategies, test plans, and performance reports
• Design test cases, develop test scripts, and perform test execution and results analysis
• Identify application performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and contribute to performance tuning
• Analyze JVM, application server, database, and infrastructure performance
• Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams in an Agile/Scrum environment

Requirements:

• 7 years of experience in Performance Testing of Java-based applications and distributed systems
• 7 years of strong hands-on experience with JMeter and/or Blaze Meter for load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing
• 5 years of experience with Selenium for test automation and regression testing
• Proven experience in test case design, test script development, test execution, and results analysis
• Strong understanding of application performance metrics, bottleneck identification, and performance tuning
• Experience analyzing JVM, application server, database, and infrastructure performance
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Desired skills:

• 1 year of experience using Git Hub Copilot, Devin, or other AI-assisted development/testing tools (AI Agents)
• Experience testing and validating applications for ADA (Accessibility) compliance
• 1 year of experience with Playwright for modern web application automation
• 1 year of experience writing and optimizing SQL Server queries for test data preparation, validation, and performance analysis
• Knowledge of application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Splunk, Grafana, or similar platforms

Pay range: $59.53 - $67.53 per hour
