Test Lead – P&C Insurance (Duck Creek/Guidewire)

As a Test Lead – P&C Insurance (Duck Creek/Guidewire), you will make an impact by leading end-to-end testing for underwriting platforms such as Duck Creek, Guidewire, or similar systems. You will be a valued member of the Insurance Technology Delivery team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders and offshore teams to ensure high-quality delivery.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and drive testing for Duck Creek, Guidewire, or other P&C underwriting applications.
  • Lead and mentor teams across onsite and offshore locations.
  • Manage all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Define and implement test automation strategies and frameworks.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for testing-related activities and stakeholder communication.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week in a client office in Charlotte, NC. What you need to have to be considered

Over 10+ years of experience in software testing, including 8+ years specializing in testing for Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Underwriting systems. Strong understanding of General Insurance domain with Property & Casualty and Workers Compensation. Hands-on experience with Duck Creek, Guidewire, or similar platforms (Policy, Billing, Claims modules preferred). Strong knowledge of test planning, estimation, test execution, defect lifecycle management, and quality governance.

Experience developing QA metrics, dashboards, executive reporting, and root cause analysis reports. Test automation background Java, Selenium and CI/CD integration. Hands on experience on test management tools like Rally, ALM and Jira. Proven ability to lead teams in onsite-offshore delivery models. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Knowledge of API testing, performance testing tools, and Dev Ops practices. Innovative mindset with a passion for automation and continuous improvement. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
