Job Description We are seeking an Hadoop/Data Platform Operations Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Platform Capacity Management Team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Hadoop ecosystem technologies and a proven ability to deliver analytics, executive reporting, and operational insights that support capacity planning and financial governance. Responsibilities:
Provide analytics, executive reporting, and operational insights to drive capacity planning and financial governance. Monitor and resolve HDFS and Ozone related issues across clusters. Investigate cluster performance, storage utilization, and capacity concerns. Manage quota requests, storage allocation, and capacity planning activities. Support application onboarding and data platform integration efforts. Coordinate with application teams during incident resolution and problem management. Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

Strong proficiency with Hadoop ecosystem technologies: HDFS, Hive, Spark, Ozone.

Experience with Hive Metastore management and table or partition maintenance. Background supporting large-scale data warehouse environments on Hadoop. Hands-on data ingestion, ETL, and data validation experience. Shell scripting and Python automation expertise.

Experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) or similar Hadoop distributions. Strong SQL and data analytics skills. Demonstrated expertise in executive reporting and storytelling. High organization with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, both strategic and tactical. Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and insights. Proficiency with JIRA, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio. Preferred

Skills:
