Position: Application Analyst I

Description:

Hybrid 3 days on-site in Charlotte, NC

Our client is seeking an Application Analyst I to support business-critical applications across nuclear IT engineering, training, and work management. The role will administer applications, manage user access, provide production support, coordinate upgrades and deployments, engage with vendors, and execute change management to enable reliable performance and effective end-user support.

Rate: $45.00 to $50.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational support for nuclear IT engineering, training, and work management applications.
  • Administer user accounts, roles, and permissions and process access requests per procedures.
  • Monitor availability, troubleshoot incidents, coordinate fixes, and communicate status.
  • Maintain awareness of dependencies, support contacts, escalation paths, and procedures.
  • Validate functionality following changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
  • Document support procedures, known issues, and recurring operational tasks.
  • Coordinate application changes, testing, validation, and production deployments.
  • Prepare and manage change requests and support deployment readiness reviews.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, workstation, database, security, and deployment teams.
  • Confirm user access and workstation impacts associated with application changes.
  • Support post-deployment validation and defect resolution.
  • Serve as liaison with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
  • Coordinate vendor requests, escalations, licensing, and maintenance communications.
  • Communicate risks, impacts, timelines, and status to varied audiences.
  • Maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, and support handoffs.
  • Assist with upgrades, migrations, replacements, or retirements and process improvements.
  • Support audit, compliance, and access review activities.
Experience Requirements:
  • Experience supporting business-critical applications in production.
  • Knowledge of application administration, user access, incident resolution, and change management.
  • Coordination across business users, technical teams, vendors, and leadership.
  • Participation in upgrades, testing, validation, and deployments.
  • Analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with focus on operational reliability and customer service.
  • Preferred:
    Support for engineering, training, compliance, or regulated functions.
  • Preferred:
    Familiarity with ITSM incident, request, problem, and change processes.
  • Preferred:
    Coordination of software deployments with infrastructure or endpoint teams.
  • Preferred:
    Ability to translate technical issues into clear business impacts.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with vendor-managed or third-party applications.
  • Technical:
    Enterprise web app support in Nuclear IT environments.
  • Technical: .NET and ASP.NET, including framework and modern .NET upgrades.
  • Technical:
    Support for Angular front ends with .NET backend APIs.
  • Technical:
    Strong SQL Server skills including refreshes, validation, troubleshooting, and ad hoc updates.
  • Technical:
    Multi-environment support across Production, QA, and Development.
  • Technical:
    Application migrations, server moves, database transitions, and sustainability upgrades.
  • Technical:
    Support for Windows servers, services, configuration, and dependencies.
  • Technical:
    Troubleshooting APIs, web UIs, database connections, service accounts, and browser compatibility.
  • Technical:
    Legacy modernization including .NET Framework upgrades and dependency updates.
  • Technical:
    Vendor and on-premise application support and coordination.
  • Technical:
    Configuration management for app settings, endpoints, email, and environment settings.
  • Technical:
    Windows clients, sync modules, proprietary databases, and field devices.
  • Technical:
    Collaboration with DBAs, infrastructure, business analysts, vendors, and business owners.
  • Operational:
    Maintenance of support documentation, repositories, locations, contacts, and procedures.
